ANGLES AND SHOTS
High angle: A high-angle shot is a cinematic technique where the camera looks down on the subject from a high angle and the point of focus often gets "swallowed up". This angle looks down on someone, it makes the person or object small and insignificant. This is used in a TV drama when they want to know someone has more power than someone else.
Low angle: is a shot from a camera angle positioned low on the vertical axis, anywhere below the eye line, looking up. This angle looks up on something or someone making it look bigger than it really is. It is the opposite of a high angle. It is commonly used in TV shows.
Slanted angle shows an object or someone from an unnatural point of view. It can be used ina drama to show things only the audience can see. The horizon line of the shot is not parallel with the bottom of the camera frame.
Eye level shows the object of the picture looking directly at you, this shows that he or she has the same amount of power as you. However in some magazines it is used to show sexual tension when it is used with models . Is the one in which the camera is placed at the subject’s height, so if the actor is looking at the lens, he wouldn’t have to look up or down.
Aerial shot: is a shot of a scene or photo taken from a higher vantage point than what is being filmed. This gives a greater understanding of what is happening in the scene as you get a virtual 360 degree view of what is going on rather than just the angle the camera is shooting. A view from above, it could be a place or a scene for a movie. It shows everything that is happening from a birds eye view. It shows the audience everything that is happening at once. It's taken from a crane, plane or helicopter.
Close up shot are used to imply intimacy between the characters or between the character and the audience. It is used to reveal the character's thoughts and feelings. Close-ups get close as more intimacy or the 'truth' about a character is revealed. Close-ups are one of the standard shots used regularly with medium shots and long shots (cinematic techniques).
Long shot: Takes apicture from distance, it shows a whole setting. It could be used to show a full scene or an actors full body. Typically shows the entire object or human figure and is usually intended to place it in some relation to its surroundings.
Medium shot: is a camera angle shot from a medium distance. Is usually from the targets head down to his or her torso. This to show the targets body as well as there face. This type of shot is often used in magazines.
Wide Shot: usually includes a lot of visual information for the audience to 'set the scene'. Usually shot with a wide angle lens. The subject takes up the full frame, or at least as much as comfortably possible.

Two shot: is a type of shot in which the frame encompasses a view of two people (the subjects). Is mostly used in TV dramas where it shows friends side by side. However it can also be used show relationships. The main purpose of this shot is for the audience to see what sort of relationship the characters have between them.
Point of view shot shows the view point of an actor. You can usually see the actors feet or hands in the picture so that you know straight away what sort of shot it is. It is sometimes used in films to show someone's eyessight as blurry, if they are becoming uncurious. Is a short film scene that shows what a character (the subject) is looking at (represented through the camera).

STEVE MCCURRY
Steve mcCurry has been one of the most iconic voices in contemporary photography for more than thirty years, with scores of magazine and book covers, over a dozen books, and countless exhibitions around the world to his name. Born in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; McCurry studied film at Pennsylvania State University. Traveling with little more than a bag of clothes and another of film, he made his way across the subcontinent, exploring the country with his camera.
CHARACTERISTICS
Erik Johanson

Erik Johanson instead of shying away, as some photographers do, from revealing the
intense levels of Photoshop work done on the images he produces,
Johansson is proud of the technique he has developed and says it is
"somehow different from other kinds of art".
Having taken photographs all his life he developed a specialist
design technique that tricks the eye and the brain. His work is humorous
and playful, but can also be quite hard-hitting and political. Some of the ideas are quite abstract but when you first look at it, it
appears realistic which creates the surprise. Plus, I think the images
are somehow different from other kinds of art.
Steve McCurry

What is important to his work is the individual picture. He photograph stories on assignment, and of course they have to be put together coherently. But what matters most is that each picture stands on its own, with its own place and feeling.
